I was submersed into the world of speech and debate in 2018 when my daughter decided to join Interritus. I immediately saw the benefits of being involved and my daughter experienced extreme growth in the first year. The next year, I joined Interritus as a team policy coach. In 2023, I took over as director, following in the footsteps of our founder, Alicia Stunkel. I have now coached NITOC qualifiers for 4 years having a total of 16 of my personal students compete at NITOC. This year, Interritus had 19 qualifiers with 7 students walking the stage at Nationals.
My background is in art education as a teacher in public, private, and home school settings. As a student, I participated in 4H in various areas of competition with many state titles and national placings, including speech and demonstration categories.
